Rosa brings a combination of good understanding of biotechnology and life sciences areas along with legal knowledge to the patent practice field. 

Rosa is a registered U.S. patent agent with a strong scientific foundation and a growing presence in the field of intellectual property. In addition to her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico – Humacao, Rosa also holds an M.S. in Toxicology from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Legal Studies from Arizona State University. Using her understanding of biotechnology and life sciences in combination with her legal knowledge, Rosa focuses on drafting and prosecuting patents in the fields of biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. Her background in toxicology provides invaluable insights into the safety and efficacy aspects of biomedical innovations, enabling her to effectively translate complex scientific concepts into robust patent applications. In addition to her work in drafting and prosecuting patents, Rosa also assists us in coordinating efforts with our foreign colleagues to help our clients protect their innovations in foreign jurisdictions. Rosa is committed to assisting clients in securing and protecting their intellectual property assets in these dynamic and evolving sectors. Outside of work, Rosa enjoys going for walks, reading, listening to music, watching K-dramas, and, most of all, watching her daughters’ choral and musical performances.
