Adam L. Lunceford
Patent & Trademark Attorney
A scientist at heart and strategist by training, Adam brings a rare blend of scientific depth and legal acumen to the table. With a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and more than a decade of intellectual property experience, he is driven by a passion for helping innovators turn bold discoveries into protected, market-ready realities.
If you asked Adam about his proudest professional achievement, he wouldn’t first point to the multinational corporations, leading ag-biotech startups, or global IP portfolios he has managed. Instead, he would likely talk about the early-stage entrepreneur who walked away empowered to commercialize a groundbreaking idea after Adam translated complex science into a clear, defensible IP strategy. For Adam, success lies in seeing ideas move from the lab bench to real-world impact — and ensuring those ideas are fortified by robust legal protection.
Adam’s career spans roles in industry, private practice, and in-house counsel — from AgraQuest and Bayer CropScience, where he safeguarded agricultural innovations across continents, to Heliae Development and Loam Bio, where he built and led IP frameworks for novel biological products. He has also advised biotech clients as a partner at Booth Udall Fuller, and now serves in Of Counsel and in-house roles guiding IP in biotech, pharma, and food innovation. His dual fluency in the languages of law and science makes him a trusted bridge between researchers, executives, and legal decision-makers.
Outside of his legal practice, Adam’s curiosity for the living world remains undimmed; he still finds joy in the beauty of discovery, whether through science, literature, or the innovations his clients share with him. For clients navigating the maze of IP law, Adam is not just a legal guide, but a collaborator invested in their long-term success.
